About Me

Hello! I wanted to share a little with you about who I am before you take that next brave step in starting your therapy journey. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker LCSW with over 12 years of experience and a compassionate approach to working with people. I have worked in a variety of settings including; autism behavioral coach, foster care clinical case manager, and therapeutic roles in the outpatient mental health setting. My wealth of experience has honed my skills in individual therapy. Developing your own tools and skills will improve your ability to be mindful, to regulate emotions, to tolerate distress, and to be effective in all your relationships. Teaching these skills for the past 12 years has improved my own ability to navigate life's challenges.

I strive to be compassionate, non-judgmental, and honest; therefore individuals feel safe and comfortable sharing their deepest feelings. If this is your first time seeking counseling, please know that I will help you feel as comfortable as possible.

I value a holistic approach to therapy. I also believe in utilizing cutting edge and alternative healing methods when desired by clients.

I have an innate ability to connect and communicate with children and teens while at the same time being able to form a relationship with their caregivers to assist in the work they are doing in therapy. I value holding a safe space, while understanding caregivers are the experts of their children.

I am passionate about working with clients who come to therapy with a variety of issues. Whether they are struggling with anger, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, or dealing with life adjustments, I will collaborate with the client to help them achieve their therapeutic goals.

I'm certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for children up to age 18, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I also have advanced training in Trauma, Grief/Loss, Anger, Depression, and Anxiety; utilizing evidence based approaches.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, movies, music, reading, camping, and working in the wellness cafe I also own in the same building as Healing Roots!
